Onwa Foundation Football Team
Onwa Football Club is a grassroots football initiative based in Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. The club was established by Chief Nwuke Fidelis, also known as Onwa 1 of Amakor, through the Onwa Foundation and Orphanage Homes. The primary aim is to discover and nurture football talents within Umuaka and the broader Imo State community. umuakatimes.com As of late 2024, the club commenced intensive training sessions at Hilltop Primary School in Uba Umuaka, preparing for upcoming Christmas football contests in the state. The team is currently open to players from Umuaka, with plans to expand inclusivity as the club grows.
